High hopes for Len

Could this little fellow be the next star for Maryborough's keen supporters of harness racing, Len and Irene Parker?

Well, he certainly has the breeding behind him, with mum being Arna Ruby, a full sister to the awesome performer, Lively Moth (16 wins, 13 placings from 49 starts, for $232,000).

The colt, who obviously isn't camera shy and was hell-bent on obscuring mum from the camera, is by the McArdle horse, Tintin in America.

Who can believe it was back in 2010 that Lively Moth was taking all before her with wins in the $100,000 Vicbred 2yo Fillies Group One Final and the $50,000 Tatlow Stakes 2yo Group Two final?

Two years later, the mare won a $20,000 semi-final of the 4yo Vicbred Mares series, before finishing sixth in the $100,000 final to Bellas Delight.

The colt was born late last week and has hit the ground running. Her certainly looks a nice type.
